Dear RTD FasTracks & Northwest Rail Stakeholder,
As you know, RTD is among the many public entities across the nation facing challenges in delivering our services and projects due to the current economic conditions. The FasTracks transit expansion program continues to be impacted by slumping sales tax revenues and escalating construction materials costs.
Because it took a regional effort to create FasTracks, we believe it will take a regional solution to keep FasTracks moving forward. We want to hear what our stakeholders have to say about the viable options for delivering FasTracks.
RTD will be holding public meetings in each of the 15 RTD Districts from September 25 to October 23. The meetings will present the current status of FasTracks and the current viable options for moving FasTracks forward. These meetings are opportunities for you to give us their feedback on these options.
Please see the list for the FasTracks Public Meetings included below. Information is also available on the FasTracks Web site at www.RTD-FasTracks.com and will be updated as plans evolve. Please feel free to share this e-mail and the list of public meeting dates and locations below with anyone you think would be interested in attending. As always, we also encourage you to submit any comments you have on the Northwest Rail Web site .
Thank you for your continued interest and support in FasTracks. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you to provide more transit to our regional community at a time when the need for transit investment is at its greatest.
The RTD FasTracks Northwest Rail Team
